The dawning of a new era in Charlotte Flight history was marked by the opening of Batchelor Park on Opening Day of S148. The home of the Flight seats 49,750 but can accommodate up to 60,000 fans for big games.

The Flight moved into the stadium, located in the Charlotte suburbs next to Jack Hughes park after playing their first 27 seasons at Food Lion Field in Fort Mill, SC. Since its opening, Batchelor Park has served as the grounds for many memorable moments. The Flight have yet to post a season below .500 at the stadium.

The ballpark has drawn raves from friend and foe alike, from its state-of-the-art audio-visual technology to the cozy and intimate, but loud atmosphere.

The stadium is named for Flight pitching legend Osbaldo Batchelor, who was the team’s first star. He still holds the franchise record for strikeouts.

The Food Lion club is behind home plate, offering a luxury seating option. There’s also a giant team store behind right field and a plaza behind the fountain in center field which is the home of the Flight ring of honor. There’s also a press box on the second level, and team office facilities on the first base side.
